In the middle of April, we had the great pleasure of photographing Cristina and David’s wedding at a small park in Auburn, CA. They had said it was going to be a small gathering and boy they weren’t kidding. We felt very honored to be invited to witness this amazing milestone for them.
When we arrived, Cristina was just putting the final touches on her dress and hair. She couldn’t stop smiling from ear to ear and it was really infectious! After we saw her in her dress we couldn’t wait to see David’s reaction.
After the finishing touches, we headed over to the ceremony site to get a few pictures of the details and the nervous groom.
Thanks to David’s father, Cristina was able to arrive in style. And seeing David see his wife-to-be walk down the aisle seriously almost brought tears to our eyes.
During the ceremony, the two of them read their personalized vows to each other, and it was so touching. Seriously, you don’t know how hard it is to take pictures when your eyes are watery!
Cristina’s mother could not attend the wedding because she lives in Spain, so with the help of one of their guests, they face-timed the whole ceremony to her. How cool is that?!
After the ceremony, we didn’t have to go far so awesome pictures of the two of them and their friends and family. The park had a seriously beautiful backdrop of greenery and a nice wooden fence and bench.
Seriously how cute are these two?! I think they got a little tired of us telling them how cute they are after most of the pictures we took, but we can’t help it! We don’t lie when people are looking good 🙂 During the formal pictures we even had a little assistance with a bubble blower!
Because Cristina’s family lives in Spain, she was a little bummed. But with the help of a little photo magic, they were with her in spirit!
We didn’t have far to go for their reception either. They had a little table set up with yummy treats and champagne for the toasts.
After a bouquet toss gone awry, Cristina gave it one more try and then it was back to the house for cake!
Seriously though, these two were some of the nicest people we’ve ever had the pleasure to photograph and we couldn’t be happier that they invited us to capture their precious memories. We’re so happy for them and we wish them many, many, many years of happiness together.
