After having to postpone their engagement session for over a year (thank covid!) we finally met with Kendra and James for their Araceli Lavender Farms Engagement Session.

On the day of the session, the couple arrived at the farm just as the sun was setting and we were met by fields full of lush lavender bushes. Kendra loves lavender, so the farm was the perfect setting for their engagement session. And the gorgeous purple matches the color palette of their wedding!

These two are college sweethearts who met while living in the same college dorm. For the proposal, they started their day on a hike in the morning complete with a little picnic lunch. After some pampering at a salon for some massages, they stopped for dinner at a little burger shack. Then it was time for the main event. James ended the day with a scavenger hunt around the town, proposing at the end of it in the center of the town. After lots of emotion (and a very enthusiastic “YES!”) they went and got ice cream to close out the evening.

Araceli Lavender Farms is a family-owned and operated lavender farm in the heart of Dixon, CA. While the lavender bloom season only lasts a couple of months of the year in June and July, Araceli Farms hosts family-friendly events all year round.
