California Destination Wedding Photographers

This engagement session took almost 3000 miles of travel to make possible! On a whim, we asked if Samantha and Jonathon could meet up for their session while we were visiting Virginia and it actually worked out perfectly! It was so great to be able to meet up with them!

We decided on the VA State Capitol for their session. We’ve always wanted to shoot there and it was so close to where we were staying. Between traffic delays and trying to find parking, this session almost didn’t happen! But we’re so glad it did. Just look at those fall colors! It was so much fun to catch up with Sam (we hadn’t seen her in years) and to finally meet Jon.

Dani and I have known Sam for years! We actually met in high school where Sam and I played the flute in our school’s band. So to say that we were excited when she contacted us after Jon proposed would be an understatement! Especially after we saw on Instagram that he had proposed in Ireland!!! We can’t wait for their wedding later next year which they’ll have in Sam’s grandmother’s backyard how cool is that!
