On Sunday, October 20th, we photographed the annual Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk for the second year in a row. It was so much fun! The walk started off with a little bit of zumba and an amazing performance of the National Anthem. During the ribbon cutting things got a little emotional in a very good way. One of the lovely ladies cutting the ribbon shared her story of how she was given about 6 months to live almost a year ago!
After the walk started, they had plenty of events at the main stage. There was an amazing drum and dance performance. I think the best part was when member of the kappa sigma fraternity had people shave their heads in support of breast cancer. The all ended up with ridiculous new hairdos but they took it like champs!
It was amazing to see a lot of returning teams and plenty of new faces. Hopefully we’ll be back for more next year.

It’s always so amazing to photograph these events. The stories of strength, hope, and survival are all so uplifting. We can’t wait to continue being a part of this great event for many, many years to come!
