Being engaged is such an exciting time! Love is in the air and as your wedding day gets closer, the anticipation of spending your life together grows. But you may have thought to yourself “is an engagement session really necessary?”

We offer engagement sessions with most of our wedding packages for several different reasons, mostly because we believe they are a vital part of your wedding day photography! During your engagement session we’ll have the chance to really get to know you. Not only your amazing personalities but how you interact with each other. Not only that but you’ll be able to get to know us and how we work. We’ll arrive on your wedding day knowing your best angles  and you’ll know just how we work with posing and finding the best light. An engagement session is great practice for getting used to the camera too. No one likes having a camera in their face all day (especially with the added pressures of your wedding day).

Your engagement photos are also necessary to serve as a reminder of why you’re getting married! They help show who you are and how in love you both are with each other. Not only will your engagement photos remind you of how great you both are together, they’re also really useful! You can use them as decorations at your wedding, sending out save the date cards, or even sending some with your invitations. Plus who doesn’t love having amazing pictures of themselves to share all over social media!
