October always seems to be the best time of the year for a wedding here in Northern California! Amber & Nick’s Beauty and the Beast Inspired Wedding couldn’t have been more incredible. The weather was absolutely perfect with beautiful sunshine and a slight breeze keeping it cool. We love it when our couples make their weddings unique and not necessarily “trendy”, so when Amber mentioned that their wedding was going to be inspired but the Disney movie, Beauty and the Beast we almost feel out of our chairs! Not to date ourselves…but we’re totally 90’s kids and Beauty and the Beast was a staple of our childhood and one of our favorite classic Disney animated movies (tied for first with the Little Mermaid of course!).
A Beauty and the Beast Inspired Catta Verdera Wedding
To incorporate the theme, the bridesmaid wore navy blue dresses and all the bouquets were made using brilliant red roses. The groomsmen wore all black tuxes with gold ties and hints of gold accessories and a gold vest for the groom. Our favorite accessory had to be the ring bearer’s ring box! It was made to look like a book with the popular phrase “a tale as old as time” on the front.
It was very important to Amber that Nick not see her before the ceremony. She wanted to make extra sure he couldn’t sneak a little peek so the venue coordinator helped hold a simple parasol in front of her. Nick was good though! As Amber and her dad made their way down the winding path to the ceremony site, Nick kept his eyes forward as she got closer, Nick’s best man teased whispering about how lovely she looked until he could finally take a peek.
Amber & Nick’s Love Story
For Amber & Nick their wedding date is extra special. It marks the exact day 10 years ago that they first met each other. Some things are worth waiting for! One morning Amber woke up and Nick was just beaming. “I can’t wait any longer!” he said and he proposed right then and there! If you’ve read our blog before, you know how much we love when couples make family members part of their weddings! Amber and Nick had their young daughter as their flower girl and it was so sweet to watch her get to be a little princess with her parents all day.
