Sarah and Anthonie could not have asked for a more perfect day for their gorgeous downtown Wedgewood Sterling Hotel wedding! The weather seemed to cool down just in time for their big day.
These two definitely have one of the most interesting meeting stories that we’ve ever heard! Sarah has actually known Anthonie’s family since she was 12 years old, and she was best friends with his sister in middle school before he even knew them! Anthonie was raised in foster care and was taken in by the family years later. One of our favorite parts of the day was during Anthonie’s mother’s toast, after a bit of teasing from his brother, she teased him right back saying “Hey, I chose him so…”. We love it when the playful family banter breaks out!
Even though they didn’t opt for a First Look, Sarah did want a Daddy/Daughter first look! Y’all they almost had us bawling like babies!!! We’ll never get tired of watching a Father see his little girl for the first time on her wedding day! As they were getting ready, Anthonie’s mom had told us that Anthonie’s Grandmother has passed away not too long before the wedding. Although it broke our hearts to hear, it was amazing to see all the little ways they honored her through out the day. You could tell that she was so loved and her legacy will never be forgotten by this amazing family.
Their ceremony was short and sweet but there was plenty of celebration! One of the best parts of the day was just how excited everyone was to be there. All of their family was just so happy for them and they couldn’t stop smiling all day long!
Congratulations Sarah & Anthonie!!! We wish you guys many, many more years of happiness together!
