Earlier in September, we had the great pleasure of photographing Liz + Danny’s amazing wedding at Hanford Ranch Winery. After their engagement session, we couldn’t wait for their wedding day. We couldn’t have asked for better weather or more gorgeous lighting!
We started off the day with a few getting ready shots before moving onto photos of the guys while the ladies continued to get gussied up. These guys were a riot! they had so many different funny poses that they wanted to do that we almost felt bad for making them not be silly for a few pictures. Then it was time for Liz + Danny’s first look. It was so sweet to see Danny tear up a little bit when he knew his bride to be was right behind him. We gave them a few moments, before jumping into pictures with the ladies and the whole group.
With a few moments til the ceremony, we snuck off to take a few pictures of their fun (and sparkly!) table decorations.
Their ceremony was so sweet. Danny once again teared up seeing Liz walk down the aisle. And view from the ceremony location was just so beautiful. They sealed their vows with and kiss and, being true to their awesome personalities, a high five. Before we could let everyone get to the party, we stole them for a few more family pictures as well as some pictures of just the bride and groom.
Let me tell ya, these guys and gals know how to make a reception entrance! From throwing mini footballs, taking selfies, to even flexing their muscles, they did not make the reception entrance boring.
While we were taking bridal party pictures Danny asked if we could do some kind of cool shot with a pocket watch that he had. Of course we had to try! And we were informed that Liz wanted pictures of a handkerchief that had been in her family for over 100 years and several generations had been married with it. It is always so great and so much fun to incorporate special little things like that for the couple.
There seems to be a growing trend of couples opting not to have a wedding cake. Liz + Danny instead had a wedding churro!
Congratulations on your beautiful wedding and we wish you many more years of happiness together!!!
