“Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs.” 1 Corinthians 13:4-5. This verse kept popping up all throughout Jackie & Isaac’s downtown Sacramento church wedding. They couldn’t have picked a verse to represent them and their love for each other.
You may remember this gorgeous couple from their engagement session last year. After their session, we just couldn’t wait for their wedding day! Their ceremony was held in a big church and yet you could still feel the love from their family and friends filling the whole place. During the day we actually found out the pastor who officiated their ceremony was also the pastor who officiated Isaac’s parent’s wedding. Isn’t that amazing?!
One of our favorite parts of the day was when Jackie’s father took the mic for his speech during the reception. He told all about how proud her parents are of their daughter and how happy they are that she found such a great man and partner to call her husband. He also gave us a peek into a little family humor when he told a story about how Jackie told them one day she was going to buy them a house and make her mom all the dumplings with broken skins she wanted. A little confused they asked her what she meant. She had noticed how her mother had always taken the dumplings with the broken skins so she thought they were her moms favorite. It turns out that her mom just wanted the kids to have all the perfect ones! After that, it became kind of a joke within their family.
We couldn’t be happier for this amazing couple and we’re so honored to have captured their gorgeous wedding!
