One of the best parts of being wedding photographers is getting to see the joys of real love. For the whole of Lacy and Marty’s wedding you could just feel their excitement, and their relief, at finally tying the knot.
When we first met Lacy and Marty, we fell in love with them right away! Between their infectious smiles and their down-to-earth attitudes, they are just downright wonderful to spend time with! But what is most incredible about this pair is the enormous love they have for their friends, family, and most especially for each other.
Being best friends with each first and being together for 3 years allowed Lacy and Marty to really connect with each other so getting married was a no-brainer! Even though Lacy had helped design her engagement ring, she didn’t know when the proposal would happen. The pair had planned a fun getaway to Yosemite or somewhere else fun and grand for their proposal, but Marty had other plans to keep Lacy on her toes.
One random morning, they both were just going about their day like usual when Marty called to her from another room. When she turned the corner, Lacy saw him on one knee and he popped the question. Despite having talked about a big grand proposal, they were both so happy and comfortable that that moment belonged just to the two of them.

From the time spent getting ready with her bridesmaids to the moment she took Marty’s hand for their first dance, Lacy was absolutely glowing. And when she walked down the aisle in her gorgeous flowy gown, no one could take their eyes off of her. Especially Marty. Even though they shared a first look, the way Lacy and Marty looked at each other made you believe in that Disney kind of happily ever after!
One of our truest joys, though, is preserving how beautifully a couple is loved by their family and closest friends on their wedding day. From getting ready to the toasts, their guests couldn’t stop singing their praises about how excited they were for the happy couple. At one point, Lacy’s mom even told us how grateful she was for us capturing their big day, saying it was a long time coming. We could tell she was just beaming with pride for her daughter and son-in-law.
So, as Lacy and Marty celebrated one of the best days of their lives with the people they loved most, we couldn’t help but share in their joy as we clicked away with our cameras! Congratulations Lacy and Marty, on your new life together!
