We couldn’t have asked for a better finish to our 2018 wedding season! Rachel & Shaun’s rainy Downtown Sacramento Sterling Hotel wedding was simply amazing! From the gorgeous fall colors to all the bridesmaid’s Kate Spade Keds sneakers, the day was just perfect!
These 2 met 6 years ago all the way out in Minnesota! After spending a summer together, they hit it off and starting dating long distance for four and half years! Four and a half years!!! That is real love y’all! After Shaun got a job here in CA, the two decided it was time to finally close the distance between and take the next step! They decided they would get a ring Shaun would come to visit at Christmas, they’d get engaged, and then they’d pack up Rachel’s tiny PT Cruiser and make the big drive out. Once they picked out the ring, it was delivered to Rachel in Texas and she tried it on before Shaun had ever seen it in person! This really is a national love story!
We always love weddings at the Sterling Hotel and this one was no exception! Even the early morning rain didn’t put a damper on the joy of their wedding day! We’re also total suckers for DIY weddings! Rachel ended up making a lot of the decorations with her circuit. She even designed the invitations herself! Talk about a superstar! Her dad also built their card box from scratch!
It was so great to see just how loved these two are by their family and friends. A lot of their guests traveled from all over the place to come watch them get hitched! Congratulations Rachel and Shaun! There’s no one else we’d rather eat cake and pizza in a tub with!
