“Wow… Hello beautiful!” That was Alex’s reaction as he turned and saw his stunning bride for the very first time. We knew right then exactly why these two were getting married! The lovey dovey-ness didn’t stop there either! During their entire wedding day, these two were just beaming with pure joy! We’re beyond excited to be able to share Salina & Alex’s Star Wars Inspired Flower Farm Inn Wedding.
We always love weddings at the Flower Farm Inn! Every time we’ve been there it’s just a gorgeous day and everything goes so smoothly! When we first arrived at the big farmhouse, we already knew that this was going to be an amazing wedding! We instantly noticed all the various Star Wars references Salina had put into her bridal details. This was definitely the first time a bride’s dress has had a cape! Like for real, a full-blown cape! We’d also like to give Alex a shout out for his LOTR wedding ring. Thank goodness, he didn’t turn invisible when Salina slipped it on his finger during the ceremony!
We knew we were going to get along great with this amazing couple from the moment Salina told us about how they met. They met in college while studying Computer Science for Game Design. Even though they sat right next to each other, they never really quite talked until they were grouped together by their software engineering professor. If you know Dani and I, that is pretty much exactly the story of how we met too! (except our class wasn’t that cool! It was only PE…). Despite living quite a distance from each other at the time, Alex took the leap and asked Salina out. They met up and had their first date at the AFK Gamer Lounge.
When planning their wedding, Salina left no detail untouched. They had ewoks watching over their ceremony as well as the charred helmet of Darth Vader. Our favorite parts had to be their officiant! Salina’s grandfather agreed to officiate their ceremony for them and it was made even better by him dressing up as Obi-Wan.
Now if you know us you know we love a good proposal story, and Salina and Alex did not disappoint! After months of dating, they were joking with each other one night about how awesome it would be to have a Star Wars wedding and Salina mentioned that if they ever got married, they’d have to do that! They were just joking and having fun but it made Salina realize just how much she loves Alex and that she wanted to be with him for the rest of her life. She was the one who ended up asking him to marry her! You go girl! As his way of saying yes, Alex got down on one knee and asked her to marry him too! It was a dual proposal!
Their wedding was simply amazing from start to finsh! From the floral decor to the Star Wars performers (yeah you read that right! Chewie, Darth Vader, and a Storm Tropper crashed their wedding reception!) the day was so perfect and we’re so honored to have been a part of it.
Congratulations Salina & Alex!!!
