There was nothing about Carissa and Spencer’s Tsakopoulos Library Galleria Sacramento wedding that we didn’t absolutely love! Any wedding with a donut bar is our kind of wedding! After having balloons and sparklers for their engagement session, we knew their wedding was going to be great and they did not disappoint!!! Even though their wedding was here in Sacramento, CA these two are from San Jose! But with all their family living here (and them relocating to Sacramento) it was a no brainer where to have their wedding!

Carissa + Spencer met in college at SSU. She played on the water polo team and he played baseball. After being introduced through a mutual friend, at first, Carissa says she was hesitant. But once they met, the pair instantly hit it off and something just clicked between them! After five years of dating, Spencer was absolutely positive that he wanted to spend the rest of his life with her. To really wow Carissa he knew he had to make the proposal seem like it came straight from a romance novel! The pair went on a fun little beach trip to Santa Cruz and as the sun set behind an adorable lighthouse and just started to dip behind the ocean, Spencer got down on one knee and popped the question.

Their whole wedding day was just filled with joy. Their best friends and bridal party were all smiles the whole day, only stopping to cry happy tears during their gorgeous ceremony. During the reception their families were always hugging and loving on the couple, showering them with congratulations. One of our favorite moments was during the toasts, hearing all the fun stories their friends had to tell. Especially all the embarrassing stories Spencer’s best man, who was his brother, had to tell during his toast.

These decided to share a first look and we’re so glad they did! It pretty much saved their wedding day portraits! Their wedding just happened to be right during the fall time change and it got dark much quicker than anyone anticipated! But thanks to their first look we were able to get all their portraits done before it was totally pitch black outside.
