Way back in December, we had done Pearl + Anthony’s engagement session in Downtown Sacramento. Well now it was time for their wedding! They got married at the beautiful Putah Creek Lodge located in the UC Davis Arboretum.
We started out the day with a few getting ready pictures at the brides aunt’s house.
When Pearl told us that her wedding colors were going to be purple and orange, we were very intrigued. You wouldn’t think of putting those 2 colors together but it worked out beautifully!
After everyone was all made and dressed up, we headed off to do their first look!
It’s so easy to see why these two love birds are getting married. They are obviously crazy about each other! And them and their bridal party are amazing! One of our photographers had a tiny fender bender on the way to the first look (making them a little late :/ ) but they were so understanding and caring about our safety. Seriously, we could go on forever about how awesome these 2 are!
Despite our teeny tiny set back, we were determined to get great pictures for this couple!
Pearl and her maid of honor seriously reminded us of us! Really! We have a picture almost exactly like the one above of the 2 of them from our senior prom.
I told you there were awesome! Who doesn’t love a good parasol sword fight?!
Pearl and Anthony also chose to put a lock on the bridge at UC Davis and throw the keys in the water.
After their first look, it was time for the main event!
For the ceremony, Pearl and Anthony wrote their own vows, and they were so incredibly sweet. That’s the one bad thing about being a wedding photographer! One of us always ends up crying or at least a little teary eyed (and It’s usually Adrienne!)
After the ceremony we had some time set aside for family pictures as well as few more of just the happy newlyweds!
At their reception, their decorations were so cute!
Let me tell ya, these two, know how to party! Once the music started playing, everybody immediately hit the dance floor!
All in all, it was a great day. Even though the sun couldn’t decide if it wanted to stay or go, the wedding was beautiful.
Congratulations to both of you! And we wish you MANY years of happiness together!
