Meagan & Greg’s Vizcaya Sacramento Wedding blended some Southern Louisana charm with Northern California glam! Since we first started talking about their wedding day, they’ve been telling us how after their ceremony, they would be having a 2nd Line, but nothing could have prepared us for just how much fun it was going to be. A 2nd line is a New Orleans wedding tradition where the couple leads a mini-parade celebrating them and their new life together. Meagan and Greg took a fun tradition and put their own unique spin on it!
A Glam Vizcaya Sacramento Wedding
These two met like most young couples these days, via online dating! Meagan saw Greg’s profile and took the leap, messaging him first. They set up their first date at the Ironhorse Tavern in Sacramento and Meagan almost backed out of going. But in the end, she went and the rest is history! When we first arrived to the bridal suite, Meagan had both her Mother’s and Grandmother’s wedding dresses set up on dress forms. Being able to see just how much wedding dress styles (and materials!) have changed was so incredible!
When Meagan first got in touch with us, they had only been engaged for a week, but that hadn’t stopped them from talking about their wedding plans much earlier. On a trip to New Orleans for a friend’s wedding, Greg had planned a surprise photoshoot and there, he popped the question! Not too bad a trip for Meagan’s first time in NOLA!
One of our favorite moments of the day had to have been their ceremony. Just the entire thing! Meagan and Greg wrote their own vows and even when a particularly obnoxious plane flew overheard, everyone just rolled with it, not letting anything put a damper on their fun. During the prayer, Meagan and Greg would peek up at each other sharing quick smiles and quiet giggles. It’s easy to see just why these two are getting married.
