This year has been such a blast! We can’t believe that 2018 is already over and Christmas is right around the corner! WHAT?! That is so crazy! This blog post is all about the craziness, silliness, and just plain fun that happens behind the scenes at our weddings. Just know that we love you guys a whole lot to show you some of these images! Dani’s favorite thing to do is take a quick snap of me while I’m making the most ridiculous face ever! So I hope you’re ready to see some silliness!

One of our many talents on a wedding day includes orchestrating first looks!  Honestly, I have no idea what’s happening in the photo on the right… I just get so excited about first looks!

Location scouting is also one of our many talents. I may look like I’m wandering aimlessly, but I swear I’m just trying to find the perfect spots!

So this may not surprise anyone, but I really love shooting bridal details. God bless Dani for letting me commandeer that part of the day. She’s the best helper too! Holding the dress for me so it doesn’t get dirty and helping me transport things when we have to move to a spot with great light.

I just have to brag a little about the set of images above! It just goes to show how a little creativity can go a long way! I shot all of Ashlee’s bridal details in that teeny-tiny closet from the middle photo. It even surprised us how well it worked because the window in there was only about 10 inches wide and 6 inches tall! That is why we’ll always profess our love for white walls!

I never thought I’d get to photobomb a lightsaber duel! Seriously one of my favorite moments of the year!

Dani is the best test subject! She’ll probably hate me for sharing this but she cannot make a normal smile to save her life. She is definitely a master at being silly and making everyone laugh during our shoots. PS: How great is her dress! I am obsessed with that rose pattern! So pretty!

So we always get a laugh when we joke about being creepy in the bushes…but we really do have to hide in bushes sometimes! And very rarely do I actually pose for Dani’s test shots! But I too cannot do it normally!

Again Dani is just a saint for putting up with me and my picky location scouting! And here we see yet another one of our many talents, dress fluffing (with bonus bug removal)!

One of our favorite games to play is to sneak a photo when the other isn’t looking and then we get to “discover” it when we get home and download our cards. It adds a little extra fun between the “oohs” and “ahhs” of the gorgeous photos of the day.

We would’ve kicked ourselves if we didn’t get these photos! If you know us, you know we love everything Star Wars so this was practically a dream come true! Huge thanks to our good friends/videographers at Jae Marie Studios for taking the photo of us! We had to return the favor and take one of them too!
