After our busiest year in business, we decided it might be time to make a few changes. We buckled down and really got serious about learning more about wedding photography, like the specifics of off-camera flash, lighting, posing, etc. There may have been fewer weddings that we photographed in 2016, but we didn’t feel any less busy! Let’s dive right in and see how our education really changed our photos!

Natalie & Nilan

I have just two words for this wedding: FLOWER. WALL! Natalie & Nilan opted to have a beyond gorgeous flower wall as their backdrop for their ceremony and the moment we saw it, our jaws just dropped! It was the perfect compliment for their incredible wedding day.

Ashley & Chris

Our biggest memory from Ashley & Chris’ wedding was not only their incredibly sweet, caring personalities or their pure joy to be tying the knot, but their first dance as well! These two had met in a dance class so of course their first dance had to be something special! They had a beautiful choreographed dance to a remix of All of Me. Cue the tears!

Kaytlynn & Conner

Now you know we love our sparkle! So when we saw Kaytlynn’s Bridesmaid’s dresses, we were in love! And that fabulousness spread throughout their entire wedding! Conner had even joked with us that their wedding was the perfect “Pinterest Wedding”. One of our favorite details of their wedding day was the inscription on the inside of Conner’s wedding band. It was simply “Ruth 1:16” -“Where you go I will go, and where you stay I will stay.”

Ana & Rocky

Ana & Rocky are such troopers! It rained so much on their wedding day! But they wouldn’t let it get them down! Thankfully, their church had great archways in the front that helped shield us all from the rain so we could do their portraits! It was the perfect backdrop for their first look with their son.

Sadly, after delivering their gallery we got an important reminder of why what do is so important. After receiving their gallery, Ana informed us that her father had unexpectedly passed away and the photos of him at her wedding were the last ones taken of him. Our hearts broke for her and her family, and truth be told we cried. But even though we were sad for them we felt such an incredible honor to be able to provide such a gift to their family. It’s a responsibility that we’ve never taken for granted and it’s such an honor to capture precious memories for not only our couples, but their families as well.
