By the time 2012 came around, we were pretty discouraged. We had spent the past year trying to better our craft, but it was difficult not to be able to put or knowledge into practice. What we didn’t know, was that that was all about to change!
Betty & Sarn
We remember driving to meet these two at Starbucks like it was yesterday. We were so nervous! The drive for us was about 30 minutes and we spent the whole time rehearsing what we were going to say and all the things we wanted to ask them about their wedding. After meeting them, we felt so silly for being so nervous. They were awesome and so easy going. We were so giddy to work with them for their wedding.
They had a great idea to do their engagement photos at the California State Fair. Talk about fun! Even though it was so hot, their shoot was a blast! The whole time, we hunted for beer while stopping to take some photos along the way.
Their wedding day was nothing short of incredible. Their ceremony was held at Scott’s Seafood on the River and when we arrived for the ceremony, we were just in love with the venue. It had such a gorgeous fountain and their ceremony spot was decorated with the most beautiful florals. We loved that all their friends and family made us feel like we were a part of the celebration and it was beyond incredible to share in their joy.
Kareem & Charles
We were so thankful to have shot two weddings in 2012! And they were in the same weekend, back to back! It was very crazy and we had to take a nice long soak in the tub afterwards, but it was so worth it!
Kareem & Charles had an intimate church wedding surrounded by their closest friends and family and it was touching just how happy they were to be getting married. One of our favorite parts of their day was when they had a special moment just the two of them.
Even though it was just two weddings, we were jumping with joy for the opportunity. We had no idea what the future had in store for us, but when 2013 came around, we welcomed it with open arms!
