Hopefully, you recognize us! We’re Adrienne & Dani, a pair of besties and Sacramento Wedding Photographers. If you’re anything like us, you hate being in front of the camera. But sometimes we have to put our money where our mouth is and get in front of the camera ourselves. The last time we had photos of ourselves done was almost 2 and a half years ago! When you’re photographers, that’s practically a million years! So we enlisted some help from some family members and headed downtown to one of our favorite secret spots.

We had actually been planning on doing these photos since mid-March, but we always seemed to find an excuse to put it off. It was getting too warm because of summer, we hadn’t found the right outfits yet, the excuses went on and on. We finally decided to put our foot down and just went for it! It only took us eight months! Since the beginning, I knew I wanted our photos to be fun, unique, and just so totally us. While browsing Pinterest (like a lot…) the perfect idea hit me! We should use confetti! I ran the idea by Dani and with her very enthusiastic “yes!” we hopped on Amazon to find the perfect confetti to use. Finding confetti is not an easy task let me tell you. There are so many options! What color to choose, what material to use, the options seemed endless! We ended up choosing a bag of rainbow colors and we liked the small circle shapes the best.

One of the most important aspects of our business is to make our photography fun for everyone. Obviously we love being behind the camera and we completely understand how nerve-wracking it can be on the other side of things. These photos really speak to that (we hope) and it was so great to finally look through photos of ourselves and just laugh and not worry about the hair that was out of place or how weird we think our arms look.

So since this is a get to know us post, let us tell you a little bit about ourselves! We’re both Sacramento born and raised and have lived here all of our lives. It wouldn’t be until 7th grade in our least favorite class, P.E, that we actually started to form a friendship. We had mutual friends when we started middle school, but we didn’t really talk to each other all that much. Then one day we had to pick partners to play against in a match of Tennis. It was well known that I had been taking tennis lessons for many years during the summer (and I was quite competitive) so no one really wanted to play against me. Our teacher “volunteered” Dani to be my partner, and the rest, as they say, is history. Since then, we’ve been BBF’s. After we graduated from high school, we both found a passion for photography. Dani loved taking the photos, and I loved popping them into photoshop and editing them. After shooting our first wedding for a friend, we were hooked and just like that, Adrienne & Dani Photography was born.
