For a first-time mom, pregnancy is an entirely new and unfamiliar experience. Some parts, like the anticipation of a little one and the celebrations before their arrival, are memories she will cherish forever. And some are memories that, well, she will use as a way to embarrass her child when they’re older. But whether a mom-to-be feels like a glowing goddess, an uncomfortable disaster, or anything in between, stepping in front of the camera to document this once-in-a-lifetime moment of preparation for your first child is a must! And as Park Winters Maternity Portraits photographers, we can’t wait to tell those stories!
We were so excited when McKell reached out to us and asked about maternity photos! We love it when our wedding couples come back to us and we get to document their growing families. After photographing their gorgeous, glittery winter wedding, we were thrilled to make some more Christmas magic with this growing family.
When it comes to any photo session, but especially maternity sessions, the location and wardrobe set the mood! Before our session, McKell already had her heart set on Park Winters as the backdrop of our session. With her sequin and tulle dress, she beamed with the excitement and radiance of an expecting mama. It got even better when she and Matt switched outfits and gave us all the perfect Christmas vibes.
As we chatted and played among the flowers, we had such an incredible time preserving this beautiful season in Matt & McKell’s life! Children grow and change so quickly that documenting each step in the journey is deeply important. And we love that we are able to document the beginning of this exciting journey into motherhood for the women of Northern California!
