The best weddings are the ones where everyone is having the actual time of their lives. Alexi & Zach’s wedding day at The Maples Woodland was that, top to bottom. The laughter was constant, and the love was obvious. And the cherry on top? The personal details they added to their day to honor their loved ones who have passed.

Not every detail for their wedding day was loud. But the bridesmaids’ soft lavender dresses and matching bouquets had this quiet, elegant quality that felt playful, and they paired beautifully with the groomsmen’s all-black suits. To honor his grandfather, Zach and his brothers, who were also his groomsmen, wore their grandfather’s cufflinks. A favorite moment of their day was definitely their Tea Ceremony. It’s always such a joy to see traditions kept alive on wedding days, and tea ceremonies are always a favorite. The way they blend family joy, tradition, and honor for the couple and their families always brings a tear to our eyes. Especially when they are as emotional as Alexi and Zach’s.
