2020 has been a doozy of a year. We’d never have believed you if you had said that we’d spend our 10th year in business during a global pandemic, a 2nd major civil rights movement, and one of the worst wildfire seasons our state has ever seen! We’re so thankful that while a lot of other businesses have had to close their doors, we’ve been able to stay afloat.
Thanks to the Coronavirus, every single one of our weddings for 2020 has been rescheduled until 2021. While we feel for our couples having to postpone their weddings and we’re so sad that we don’t get celebrate with them just quite yet, we like to think about the positives. One of the main characteristics of our A&D Couples is that they value their photos and the people in them. So It only makes sense that they’d prefer to wait until they can have all of their most important people to celebrate with!
However, just because we haven’t done any weddings this year, doesn’t mean we haven’t been working! We’ve done some pretty special portrait sessions this year and we can’t wait to share!
Arastu-Jones Family
At the beginning of the year, we got to meet up with a fellow photographer and her family! It was a rare occasion to have all the family in the same place at the same time, so they had to get some portraits done! We absolutely loved getting to meet this incredible family!
Lacy & Marty
Just because they postponed their wedding, doesn’t mean we can forget about this couple! Love that spans across the country is true love that’s for sure! After meeting at one of the most magical places, Disney World, Lacy and Marty became quick friends. It wasn’t long before they bonded over exploring Florida, their love of books, and coffee shops. We can’t wait to celebrate with these two next year.
Tasha & Trevor
The next portrait session we did was with this incredible couple! We met up with Tasha & Trevor for some couples portraits at the Cache Creek Lavender Farm and there was definitely no shortage of beautiful spots to take photos in! Everywhere we stepped, there was a full, fragrant lavender bush. We also had the pleasure of talking with some of the staff at the farm and everyone there is just so lovely. They offered us a peek into their gift shop and even some lavender to take home for ourselves. If you’re ever looking for a great spot for your own photos, we definitely recommend the Cache Creek Lavender Farm!
Pao & Duane
This incredible couple sadly had to postpone their wedding as well. Thankfully, we were at least able to fit in their engagement session. We just love these two! they are so down to earth and we swear Pao’s smile could light up an entire room. Pao and Duane are one of those couples where you can just see the love when they look at each other. It melts our hearts in the best way! We can’t wait to celebrate with them and their family next year!
Taylor & Dillon
It always means so much to us when our A&D couples come back to us to capture more of their important moments. We were over the moon when we heard that Taylor was pregnant and even more excited to photograph her and Dillon’s maternity portraits! It’s been such a joy watching them post photos of their little boy and it’s all the proof we need to see the light in the world always.
Samantha & Jon
Thanks to the pandemic Samantha & Jon’s wedding plans had to change. Originally they would be flying in from New York to California to have their wedding in Lake Tahoe. Unfortunately that wasn’t possible and they decided to elope! While we couldn’t be there to photograph their micro wedding, we so happy for them and can’t wait for their big party!
While we’re sad we haven’t had the chance to photograph our other 2020 couples, we just want to say that we love you guys too! We can’t wait til next year so we can celebrate with you and all your family and friends!
